The products from Tlalet are handcrafted by a collective of 20 local women—enthusiastic, skilled, and always eager to learn. Their workshop is located in the heart of the Tlalet oasis, where they’ve established a vibrant community centre. Here, they gather daily to share techniques, develop new skills, and craft their products with care.
Using rush collected from nearby riverbanks, they weave beautiful baskets, rugs, and a variety of other items—all made entirely from natural materials. Everything is organic, and they dye their pieces using locally sourced plants. Some of the women inherited these skills from their families, while others were trained through community initiatives.
You can visit them in person—their shop is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.
