The women of Chenini form a very close-knit community, among the few still living in the ancient village carved into the mountain. Although they prefer to remain discreet, their story is expressed through the extraordinary know-how of their hands and the beauty of their creations.
They perpetuate a rich tradition of weaving, passed down from generation to generation within their families. Using natural fibers and vegetable dyes, they make unique rugs adorned with symbolic patterns that reflect the identity of their community.
Each piece is truly unique. Their products are available online or at the Center store in Chenini. If you have a personal idea or design, they will be happy to create a bespoke piece — just contact the Center by email with any specific requests.
